Live by the Lens Die by the Lens

WELCOME

20 JUNE - 28 SEPTEMBER 2008

What makes you decide which films you see? Is it the director or the plot? More than likely, it's who stars in them.

Stars have always been central to selling films. Publicists and photographers create a glamorous image of stardom which the media readily accepts and exploits. However, others in the media are more eager to discover the 'reality' behind the image.

This exhibition explores the complicated relationship between stars, publicists, photographers and the media.
