Bite the Mango
is widely regarded as the leading film festival in Europe
showcasing the very best cinema from around the world. Host
to masterclasses, seminars, screenings and star guest appearances,
Bite the Mango is now in its tenth year and continues to
grow from strength to strength.
The festival is available for any filmmaker but we would
advise you to look at previous Bite the Mango festival programmes
to give you an idea of the films we select. Click here to

Bite
the Mango is a project of the National Museum of Photography,
Film & Television.
Submitted
films can be of any length, from anywhere in the world,
and should have been made after 1 December 2003.

IMPORTANT
INFORMATION
· We can only accept VHS (PAL) tapes and DVD's for
initial viewing. No other formats can be accepted.
· There is no fee for submitting your film, but you
must cover the costs of sending us your submission tape
/ disc.
· If your film contains non-English dialogue (which
is essential to the understanding of the film), it MUST
be subtitled in English. We CANNOT accept unsubtitled films.
· Where you have included a SAE for the return of
your tape, we will endeavour to return it shortly after
the film festival (regretfully, we are only able to return
UK tapes). However, the Museum cannot be held responsible
for the loss or damage of any tapes in the post.
· The person completing the form must be authorised
to submit the film for consideration.
· If a film is selected, the screening copy should
be a print (35mm or 16mm) with composite optical sound;
a Beta SP (PAL) cassette; or DVD (regions 1 or 2). We CANNOT
accept DigiBeta, miniDV or similar, and suggest in these
cases that you check that you can transfer your work to
Beta SP (PAL) before submitting your film.
· 'If you have not heard from us by 31st August 2005,
please assume your application has been unsuccessful.
